Welcome to our Wedding Site!

Dearest Friends and Family,

We are thrilled that you will be joining us (or are at least exploring the feasibility of doing so) on Cape Cod for our wedding. George's family has been coming to the Cape for over a century and has offered to put this blog together to help those less familiar with "The Cape" realize all that is available to vacationers.

George and I spent a beautiful month together on Cape Cod, Boston, and Vermont last summer. It was then when we realized that we wanted to spend our lives together. It is a magical place, and we hope that you are able to use this resource to help make the most of your trip.

We thank you in advance for making the effort to join us. We hope and expect it to be a wonderful event.

With Love, Deirdre and George

Lodging: Options about where to stay in and around the Hyannis area.

Cape Cod is a vacation destination so there are plenty of places to stay including house rentals, bed and breakfasts, road-side motels and beach resorts. The wedding and related festivities will all be on Mid-Cape (near Hyannis), but feel free to venture out to other areas as the wedding may not be the only reason for your visit.

Deirdre and George have looked at a few places in the area and have blocked rooms at a couple of options:

This is a full service hotel that is pretty nice. Despite it's name, it is not a traditional Cape Cod resort, but it is comfortable. (approximately 10 minutes from the ceremony and reception, minutes from the beach, rooms blocked under Deirdre Lyne and George Churchill)
  • 1225 Iyannough Rd, Hyannis, MA
  • (508) 771-3000
  • (888) 297-2200

Red Jacket Resorts (A collection of properties near the festivities including the three listed below and two others - Riviera Beach Resort and Blue Rock Golf Resort)
(800) 447-4139

Best Western Blue Water Beach Resort
(approx. 15 minutes from festivities, on beach, 20 rooms blocked)
  • 291 South Shore Drive
  • South Yarmouth, MA 02664
  • (800) 367-9393
  • (508) 398-2288
Red Jacket Beach Resort
(approx. 15 minutes from festivities, on beach, spa on location, highly recommended by friends who have stayed here)
  • 1 South Shore Drive, South Yarmouth, MA
  • (508) 398-6941
(approximately 15 minutes from the ceremony and reception, walking distance to the beach where George's family frequents, 2 Admiralty Suites and 1 Cape Codder reserved under Deirdre Lyne and George Churchill until APRIL 4th. Other condo-like commendations may be available)
  • 182 Baxter Ave, West Yarmouth, MA
  • (508) 771-1126
Courtyard by Marriott
(Near the mall and the Cape Codder . Not much personality, but it is a Marriott property. We have not reserved rooms)
  • 707 Route 132, Hyannis, MA
  • (508) 775-6600

(This hotel has served as an overflow for George's family for years. Great location on Hyannis Harbor, but it is more of a motel than a resort.)
  • 1 South St, Hyannis, MA
  • (508) 775-0357
Bed & Breakfasts. Very close to the reception (~1 mile) We have visited Liberty Inn (very nice) and Crook Jaw (adorable). Trip Advisor has ratings. We were warned to stay away from the Colonial Inn.
